Chance the Rapper and his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley are officially engaged!
The whole exciting proposal went down at a 4th of July barbecue yesterday, according to a video posted by the Instagram account, The Shade Room. In the clip, you can see Chance getting down on one knee as he pops the question, surrounded by applauding friends and family. Another photo in the series reveals Kirsten’s engagement ring: a sparkly round diamond on an equally glittery band.
Chance later confirmed the engagement on Twitter, with the help of three simple words that say it all: “She said yes.”
As noted by PopSugar, Chance and Kirsten’s friends also posted pictures of the pair on Instagram, and you can clearly see Kirsten’s ring catching the sunlight (and her infectious smile to boot). It sure seems like Chance and Kirsten had one epic 4th of July to remember — and their romance certainly supplied plenty of fireworks for the occasion. Congrats to the happy couple!
