Step aside Valentino! These zalebs love local 👗🇿🇦

Bonang MathebaThere’s nothing better than supporting your own people and that’s why at GLAMOUR we believe the ‘buy local’ cause is so important. But there is one special group of people who undoubtedly back this cause – our favourite local celebs. They are seen on almost every red carpet, local and international, backing our local talent and the support they put behind local designers makes us very happy. Check out which designers your favourite starlets love.

Nomzamo Mbatha

She is well-known for always stunning in SA designer Vanessa Gounden. She was the designer responsible for her iconic and very personal graduation dress.

Thank you @vanessa_gounden @dorefashionsa for taking my crazy idea and executing it so well. . I wanted the pictures of my late baby sister, Carla, late older sister, Matu, my late father, Nicholas Nxumalo and the greatest love of my life, the woman who named me Nomzamo, my late grandmother, MamJoli. The many tragedies I had to survive. . The helpline to the South African Depression & Anxiety Group because MENTAL HEALTH and SUICIDE IS REAL,especially amongst university students. 0800 121314 . I dropped out of university for financial reasons amongst many other things and it took me more time to finish this degree than the peers I started with. I was gutted. Going back to finish off the race was not easy. So to those who are still in it I say… OWN PACE. OWN RACE ✊🏽 Have COURAGE. Have RESILIENCE. you WILL OVERCOME. #UCTGrad2018 #WearableART . 📷: @ramiie_g

Minnie Dlamini

Gert Johan Coetzee has been responsible for nearly every gorgeous gown Minnie has been seen in. Their relationship dates back to when Minnie was just starting out. She loves his work so much that she even asked him to make her wedding gown and I think we can all agree she looks STUNNING!

Terry Pheto

Whether she’s walking the red carpet or making a guest appearance Terry slays every time in gowns by the iconic South African designer Marianne Fassler.

Dineo Moeketsi

If there’s ever anyone to look like a real-life Barbie doll on the red carpet it’s Dineo. And what better designer to match but Quiteria and George. They are known for making classic and elegant gowns with a touch of flair which is why they are a perfect match.

My ancestors’ wildest dream. 👑👑👑
