After two successful seasons, Behind the Story will be back on your screens tonight with the gorgeous Pearl Thusi as the host. This season will take viewers on a journey behind the glitz and glamour of the South African showbiz scene to showcase the stories and struggles behind South Africa’s favourite celebrities.
Some of the stories we’ll be hearing will include rapper Jub Jub, who will open up about his fears going into prison, the mother of his child and how their relationship might hurt the son he hasn’t been allowed to see in years. It also includes stories from Somizi who will fire shots at Bonang for being mediocre and snap back at all the criticism he’s received for having a 22-year-old fiancé. And who could forget the controversially sassy Zodwa Wabantu, who in a stripped down chat will reveal the humanity behind her fame, the passing of her mother and shade she throws at her nemesis Skolopad.
“It was so enlightening shooting this show and learning more about my peers and I can’t wait for the rest of South Africa to see what’s in store for them… to see what’s truly behind the story. It’s going to be extremely entertaining,” said host Pearl Thusi about the filming process.
