The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have welcomed their third child

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have welcomed their third child into the world.

Kate was admitted to the private Lindo wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, earlier today it’s now been confirmed that they’ve had a baby boy.

Kensington Palace tweeted:

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.

The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

They also said,

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.

And it seems that journalist Emily Andrews, a royal correspondent on  Lorraine, was right when she predicted Kate would give birth today. She said at the time: “Kate is due on St George’s Day which is the 23rd of April.”

She also said: “She was late with George and Charlotte but I would imagine the baby will be arriving in the last week of April.”
