When multiple Grammy and Oscar Award-winning, rapper/actor, Common offers to host five of SA’s top entertainers in the Absolut Elyx House in Los Angeles how could one turn down that invite? No one could have been ready for the “African Getdown” that proceeded to bring the house down!
In celebrating the growing, global impact of African music & culture, top SA artists Heavy-K, Anatiiand Da L.E.S. along with TV presenters Luthando “Loot Love” Shosha and Ayanda Thabethe were the lucky 5 to be flown to the City of Angels.
“The experience showed me what it was to be African”, comments Loot Love about her LA experience.
As for the Absolut Elyx House, guests felt like royalty. And who wouldn’t when you’re in a mansion with lush green interiors and classic copper décor accessories?!
“The space was amazing, it literally felt like I was seeing everything in HD! The experience was a complete eye-opener,” said Loot Love, about the Absolut Elyx House.
Set in the Hollywood hills overlooking the city, Heavy-K, Da L.E.S. and Anatii delivered their best sounds of Africa to a celebrity audience, which included music producer Karl Rubin, Stephan James, star of the movie The Race and Selma, and Sope Aluko from Black Panther, amongst many other starlets.
“With the Absolut Elyx House being known for its legendary global parties, hosting only the world’s top talent, I’m sure I can talk for everyone involved that this opportunity was an incredible experience, and I am very honoured to have had the opportunity to experience the true lifestyle of luxury vodka,” commented Heavy K.

Further celebrating the Absolut Elyx lifestyle and entertaining the makers of fine arts, the brand has recently welcomed their online Absolut Elyx Boutique to South Africa, a worldwide first to be available in South Africa, where you can add a little copper to your home bar with the exclusive copper collection of unique drinking vessels.
Copper really does make every purchase better! The Absolut Elyx Boutique will spread the love even further, by donating a week’s (140 litres) worth of safe water to those in need of it, through their partnership with the international non-profit organization, Water for People.
