The rise and rise of The Queen’s Simphiwe Ngema

After taking a much-needed break from the limelight, following the tragic passing of her husband, Simphiwe Ngema is back on the scene. Last week, the actress, singer, MC, presenter, choreographer, and businesswoman made her debut on the hit Mzansi Magic telanovela  The Queen. Ngema plays the role of Buhle, a sassy ‘slay queen’ who shakes things up in the Tebogo and Kea’s burgeoning romance.

Ngema exited the SABC 2 soapie in 2016, but before then she lit up our screens and found a place in our heart as Thuli.

Greed & Desire

Following her exit from Muvhango, Ngema returned to TV with a role in Greed & Desire, playing the character of Noni Ndlovu.

Broken Vows

At the beginning of 2018, Simphiwe Mkhwanazi joined the cast of Broken Vows as Dudu, an aspiring gospel singer who was the cousin to Thandi, and the niece of Lydia.

The soap star has appeared in multiple television productions and seems to be on a trajectory that could see her one day reaching Connie Ferguson-status!
