Ever wanted to pick the brain of Skeem Saam’s Cedric Fourie? Well, we were lucky enough to ask the Johannesburg-based actor a few questions on your behalf. Before making his way onto the SABC 1 soapie, the Soweto-born hunk worked a nine-to-five as a network engineer. Thankfully, he left his office job to play businessman Lehasa Maphosa – the hot soapie villain we hate to love!
What would you say is your best attribute, and why?
I guess, the best thing about me is that I apply logic to everything; and my ability to not allow my emotions to get the best of me.
Who or what inspires you?
What keeps me going is my three-year-old son. He’s my reason for the majority of the things I’m accomplishing and working hard towards. If there were to be anybody I look up to, it would be my mother. I admire my mother’s ability to love unconditionally and selflessly, her ability to forgive and her intelligence. How she raised three children as a single parent and managed to, at the same time, live a busy life really motivates me.
What’s your favourite drink?
My favourite drink is a passion fruit lemonade.
What is your dream vacation destination?
St Lucia, because peace and tranquility come at a price these days.
Do you have any regrets when it comes to past relationships?
I don’t really have any regrets when it comes to past relationships. I believe that every experience I’ve been through has moulded me to become a better person.
Who is your style icon?
Do I even have style? I’m always in gym gear and sportswear. If I had to choose someone whose sense of style I admire, I would say Kanye West. He’s very inventive, creative, he influences the culture through his personal style. He’ll probably be popular five to ten years from now.
Who is your WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday)?
Actress, Laura Haddock from Transformers.
