The 3 local influencers leading the way in body positivity

Ever since Ashley Graham came onto the scene, more and more women have taken to social media to celebrate body positivity. Graham has broken many barriers as she has created her own “no thigh gap” Barbie doll, released a book, walked the runway for Michael Kors, and has her own line of lingerie and swimmer for all shapes and sizes.

Here in SA we have a squad of influential women who are championing body positivity on their timelines and feeds. We’ve put together a list of the top 3 local influencers who are pushing for more body positive representations of women in media.

Lesego “Thick Leeyoncé” Legobane

As her moniker suggests, Lesego “Thick Leeyocné” Legobane is the Beyonce of the body positivity girl group. She has secured campaigns with Woolworths, launched her own line of clothing, and is skilled in the art of shutting down body shaming haters.
