We celebrated love, friendship, fashion and Valentine’s to the max at this year’s GLAMOUR Valentine’s brunch, held at Joburg’s super chic Hyde Park Corner.
The day began with a glass of bubbly, courtesy of Boulevard Rosé and a gorgeous brunch prepared by celebrity caterer Vicky Crease.
Our guests were then welcomed by our Editor in chief Pnina Fenster as she introduced the day and informed our readers that this would be her last event with GLAMOUR. Guests were then treated to a fashion Q&A by the famous fashion designer Gert Johan Coetzee where he shared his knowledge about upcoming trends, fashion do’s and don’ts as well as his top highlights as a designer in South Africa. Makeup artists from Maybelline provided on-the-spot touch-ups. And the CLUSE watch stand was the place to try on some of the most beautiful timepieces on the market — and stand a chance of winning one. In between all of that, we were treated to a talk by K Naomi, Maybelline’s It-girl where she shared her experiences abroad travelling with the makeup brand. Chris Jaftha also introduced our readers to two of the contestants from Dancing With the Stars SA – Zola Nombona and Vanes-Mari Du Toit.
It was well into the afternoon when we called an end to the celebrations after giving away spot prizes to some lucky readers which included a gorgeous gift bag full of goodies from Sorbet, a Maybelline hamper as well as a beautiful Cluse watch. Readers then left filled with love and happiness — but not before collecting GLAMOUR goodie bags packed with a voucher from Cluse, Le Tan self-tanner, P.S Chocolate, Chocolate recipe book, Twinning Tea, Maybelline makeup, Essie nail polish, a rejuvenating mask from Skin Republic, Moroccanoil treatment, Matis Samples, Paul Mitchell Marula Oil, Guinot Radiant Mask, an EZ Bobble hair accessory and many other goodies for our readers to enjoy.
