Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams can’t stop, won’t stop gushing about how in love they are, and we’re not even mad. Over the past few months, we’ve vicariously experienced their Christmas (where they got each other practically the same present), an extravagant surprise from him on her birthday, and an all-day live-streamed date. But how did their epic romance begin? Like any modern relationship: on Twitter.
“He slid into my DMs… we had tweeted each other, and I thought he was funny and he was a fan of the show [ Modern Family],” Sarah explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday. “Next time we’re in LA, I’m taking you out,” he told her — and not just anywhere. He proposed tacos, and she approved. “I love tacos. He loves tacos, so that was like his thing, like ‘I love tacos, let’s see if she likes tacos’… we both like tacos!” she recalled. It sounds like they have even more in common than their taste in clothes.
Sarah Hyland added, “it’s happening, I guess everywhere, I don’t know the rate,” about meeting partners via social media. It sounds like it was a match made in heaven, even if it was really made on the internet. Thank god for Twitter and tacos.
