Congratulations are in order for Ellen Page, who has announced that she got married to partner Emma Portner in a secret ceremony. The couple surprised fans last night by revealing the news on Instagram with a beautiful shot of their wedding bands. Ellen wrote a sweet caption to accompany the photos, saying: “Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife. @emmaportner”

The newlyweds were showered with congratulatory comments and received over 50,000 likes on the post within an hour. However, details about the wedding, including when and where it was held, have yet to be revealed.
The couple only went public with their relationship last summer, when the Juno star began sharing images of partner Emma, a teacher at the Broadway Dance Center whose choreography was used on Justin Bieber’s Purpose world tour , on her Instagram account.
Back in September, Ellen told Diva Magazine that she’d been happier than ever since coming out in 2014. “Everything is different,” she said.
“From one day to the next [after coming out], I felt a happiness and an inner peace which I hadn’t known for years. My life now is overwhelming, and I’m glad to be in a position where I can support my community and also help show that you can still play all kinds of roles after you are out,” she added.
