Model and actress Kate Upton and her baseball player beau Justin Verlander have officially tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Tuscany.
The 25-year-old Sports Illustrated model had her family and friends gathered around her in Castiglion del Bosco, Tuscany, on Saturday 4 November to marry Verlander.
Kate wore a stunning white gown with lace sleeves and a lace veil, while she had her bridesmaids in blush pink dresses.
Model @kateupton and @astrosbaseball pitcher @justinverlander came close to missing their own wedding. Justin hadn’t anticipated going to Game 7 of the World Series, so he and his then-fiancée decided they would get married in Tuscany on the first weekend in November. But, on November 2, instead of being en route to Italy for his November 4 wedding, Justin was in Los Angeles for his team’s 5–1 win over the @dodgers in a game that’s often thought of as one of the rarest treats in sports. Of course, ever the supportive girlfriend, Kate was in the stands cheering him on. Tap the link in our bio to read the full story of the couple’s wedding weekend and to see exclusive photos. The wedding took place outdoors in the Italian city of Montalcino, complete with browning autumnal trees, rustic decorations and candlelit walkways.
Kate first revealed their engagement at the Met Gala 2016, telling E!‘s Justin Verlander had proposed, saying: “I’m really excited, he asked me right before season started so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while.”
She continued: “I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world!”
Congratulations, you two!
