Not only is Selena Gomez officially back with Justin Bieber, another reconciliation could be on the cards for her ex The Weeknd and Bella Hadid. Love is real.
The rapper, real name Abel Tesfaye, was spotted leaving Bella’s New York apartment a month ago, and now reports have surfaced that they’ve been “talking, texting and FaceTiming each other pretty consistently.”
A source told US Weekly that they never fell out of love. “[Bella] never really got over him. She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his friend. His schedule won’t allow him to stay focused on her—she knows this from past experience. She also knows he is talking to a few girls still. She reads what is put out in the news and that affects her.”
“Bella really missed him,” the source added. “She’s happy with where things are and he is too. They are still totally in love.”
Bella and The Weeknd split at the end of 2016, shortly before he began dating Selena Gomez. He split from Selena in October, and while Bella didn’t comment on the news (keeping classy as ever), she did post this photo of her sipping wine on a girls’ trip to Tuscany. Keep living, Bella!
At the Met Gala back in May, Bella Hadid reportedly spent most of the night avoiding her ex and who can blame her? The Weeknd and Selena were the pictures of love.
A source told E! News that Bella “was late to the dinner” and stayed “outside, going through the exhibit while Selena and The Weeknd were at dinner”.
Another source told Hollywood Life that the model “was crushed” after the evening: “Selena and Abel really looked like a stunning couple at the ball and it hurt Bella‘s heart to see her ex, in person, look so happy with his gorgeous new girlfriend. Bella wants to move on from Abel and wishes the best for him, but it was hard for her to see all of the heavy PDA right in front of her face at the Met Ball.”
Bella and Abel first went public with their romance in September 2015 after meeting at Coachella earlier that year and made their red carpet debut at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
