Taylor Swift‘s been spending lots of time with her new man, British actor Joe Alwyn lately, but we’re still none the wiser about their relationship, with the pair keeping tight-lipped since they first started dating in May 2017. Until now. In true Taylor style, the singer has revealed all by the medium of music…
With just a week until Reputation drops, Taylor teased with another lyric video for new track ‘Call it what you want’. Ready to analyse this? OK, LET’S GO.

After singing that her “castle crumbled overnight,” (hey, she’s had a tough couple of years what with her breakup and Kim and Kanye fued), she continues: “All the liars are calling me one / Nobody’s heard from me for months / I’m doing better than I ever was.”
Taylor then chirps up singing about her new love: “My baby’s fly like a jet stream/ High above the whole scene/ Loves me like I’m brand new so call me what you want, yeah,”
“I want to wear his initial on a chain around my neck, not because he owns me/ but ‘cause he really knows me.”
Cute huh?
Promoting the song, Taylor shared a video reel of home videos from her life over the past year to her Twitter, giving fans a catch-up on what’s been going on.
Some people are comparing ‘Call it what you want’ with Taylor’s breakout hit ‘Love story’ calling it the second part. And the theory is convincing…
In ‘Love story’, the lyrics read: “Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone / I’ll be waiting, all that’s left to do is run / You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess / It’s a love story, baby just say yes.”
While in ‘Call it what you want’, Taylor sings: “You don’t need to save me… But would you run away with me?… Yes.”
*Slow clap*
