Jennifer Lawrence admits she’s incredibly rude to her fans

She may be known for her down-to-earth, friendly persona, but  Jennifer Lawrence admits she’s actually “incredibly rude” when she meets her fans.

Speaking to  Adam Sandler during the seventh season of  Variety Studio: Actors On Actors, she said: “Once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude. I turn into a huge a–hole. That’s my only way of defending myself.”

This means icy stares, finger-wagging and definitely no selfies.

The 27-year-old Oscar-winning actress says people “just assume they’re your best friend” when you work in comedy, and she’s not here for it. Throw her friend  Amy Schumer into the mix and “they’re f*cked”.

Jen says she usually responds with: “It’s my day off, it’s Sunday. I’m not working today.”

During the interview she also opened up about her split from Hollywood director Darren Aronofsky. The couple worked together on the controversial horror movie  Mother! and it seems this caused problems in their relationship.

“We’d be on the tour together. I’d come back to the hotel, and the last thing I want to talk about or think about is a movie,” she said. “He comes back from the tour, and that’s all he wants to talk about.”

“I get it; it’s his baby,” she continued. “He wrote it; he conceived it; he directed it. I was doing double duty trying to be a supportive partner while also being like, ‘Can I please, for the love of God, not think about  Mother! for one second?'”
