Ava Phillippe was an actual princess at the Bal des Débutantes

Ava Phillippe,  Reese Witherspoon’s lookalike daughter with ’90s heartthrob Ryan Phillippe, stepped into the limelight at the annual Bal des Débutantes, held at The Peninsula in Paris on Sunday night. The 18-year-old made a sartorial statement as she made her formal debut in a golden Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown, literally sparkling her way down the red carpet.

Weird. And Magic. @avaphillippe @reesewitherspoon @thepeninsulaparis @lebal.paris #baldesdebutantes

Ava was one of 20 debutantes at the ball and stole the limelight not only through her style, but also her choice of guest. Aside from being accompanied by her Academy Award-winning mum, Ava’s official date was the 19-year-old Maharaja of Jaipur Padmanabh Singh (also known as “Pacho” – we’re not sure why, either), who plays polo with Prince William on India’s national team.

Since it began in 1992, the ball has been a cross between a traditional debutante ball and a fashion show, with daughters from notable families around the world wearing couture gowns, rather than the traditional bridal-styles. Lily Collins is a previous attendee, and this year Ava was joined by fellow American Lori Harvey (daughter of US TV host Steve Harvey) and Pacho’s sister, the Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur.

So Ava not only looked like a princess, she was in some very royal company and topped things off with the ultimate Disney-esque finish: a waltz with Pacho to a song from La La Land. She’s living a real-life fairytale – anyone know how we can do the same?
