In cinemas now: 9/11

It’s the morning of 9/11. A messenger sings ‘Happy birthday’ to his daughter. A billionaire argues with his wife in a divorce hearing. A maintenance man begins his day. A young Russian decides she’s breaking up with her wealthy older lover. When the first plane hits the World Trade Centre, these five passengers find themselves trapped in a lift. Forced to work together, they fight against all odds to escape before the collapse occurs. Their story is about courage, faith and the will to live. This inspiring action thriller starring Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg sees the former in his second movie of 2017 after Mad Families, but in a far more serious role. Rounding out the ensemble cast of 9/11 are veteran actors Gina Gershon, Luis Guzmán, Wood Harris and Jacqueline Bisset. Co-written and directed by Martin Guigui, this tense drama opens on 8 September. Be sure to book your tickets soon, as we’re sure it’ll sell out quickly!
