You’ve heard about the Space Race, but you haven’t heard the incredible story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson. These brilliant African-American women worked at NASA and served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race barriers to inspire generations of women to dream big. 98-year-old Katherine Johnson received a standing ovation at last night’s Oscars. Talk about girl power!
