How to create a twisted half bun

After learning how to do the  chic bow from Carolina Herrera’s New York Fashion Week show, it’s time to try out the twisted half bun which accompanied Charles Youssef’s spring/summer 2017 collection. This natural polished style is the perfect look to take you from the beach to the bar this summer. Here’s your how-to:

1 Start with the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume

reverse-wash system. First, use the pre-wash conditioner to soften your hair, followed by the shampoo to wash away weight.

2 Apply a small amount of TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Mousse

to the roots of your hair, then blowdry roughly to enhance your natural texture.

3 Create a centre parting. Then casually pull your hair from each side, twisting them as you move toward the back of your head. Make sure to leave a section of hair free at the back. Tie into a loose ponytail.

4 Now divide your ponytail into two sections and twist these all the way to the ends. “Criss-cross the ends to recreate the shape,” suggests Orlando Pita, the hair pro behind this look. Pin in place as you go along to create a wide, flat bun.

5 Work a coin-sized amount of TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximiser

through the ends using your fingertips to encourage natural waves.

6 To finish the look, tame flyaways and enhance shine, spray your hair with TRESemmé Firm Hold Hairspray

.
