10 Ways to be kinderIt’s a tough world out there, and you never know what someone else is struggling with. Sometimes, all a person needs is a kind word or gesture to help them get through the day. Although many people overlook being kind, it is a positive way of living that makes others – and yourself – happy (and who doesn’t want that?) So the next time you find yourself feeling negative and irritable, take a deep breath and try to show kindness to a stranger. Here are some ideas: 

1 Give genuine compliments – they’re free!

2 Bake biscuits for your co-workers.

3 Smile at a stranger.

4 Forgive someone who was mean to you.

5 Hold open a door for someone.

6 Offer to babysit for a friend.

7 Talk to someone new at lunch.

8 Help an elderly person with their trolley.

9 Be an infectious light of kindness, positivity, joy and compassion.

10 Celebrate the little things and inspire others to do the same.

Although these may seem like insignificant gestures, they are kind little ways to say, “We’re all in this together”. They may be small, but a small positive change is still a change for the better.
