PUMA Women’s Creative Director and Brand Ambassador, Rihanna, and Global Sports Brand, PUMA, are excited to announce three brand new styles to the FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Creeper collection releasing this winter. The PUMA Creeper continues to harness the music and fashion feel of the revolutionary punk era remixed with Rihanna’s style and PUMA’s deep sporting heritage.

Always bringing her personal touch and creativity to PUMA’s sports-inspired silhouettes, Rihanna continues to collaborate and add edge to classic styles.  For winter, she has created three new executions of the coveted Creeper. The new drop includes two new premium suede iterations: the luxe Green-Bordeaux Creeper and the stunning Black Satin Creeper featuring an all over black suede with a touch of satin on the formstripe. The newcomer to the range, and third style in the drop, is the Basket Creeper Glo, in an all-white slick, shiny patent leather. All Creeper styles are made in Europe, come with two sets of laces, waxed laces and gold trims and classic sneaker laces, and are packaged with a premium velvet FENTY PUMA by Rihanna shoe bag.

The Creeper was the first shoe curated by Rihanna for PUMA. A remix of the iconic PUMA Suede with a little bit punk and a little bit rebel, it continuously sold-out since the style first debuted last year, setting the trend for platform sneakers worldwide with no sign of slowing down.

Available for men and women the Rihanna Creeper retails in Green-Bordeaux and Black Satin only for R2 299. The FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Creeper drops at PUMA Select, Shelflife, Xtrend and Anatomy (online) stores on the 26thof May 2016.

Skagenhas officially arrived in South Africa and brings with it the Danish way of living.  Fossil Group’s latest collection of Skagen watches and jewellery embody simplicity, practicality and quality. Sold in 80 countries worldwide now local trendsetters can enjoy this timeless lifestyle desired today, tomorrow and beyond.  Skagen’s jewellery styles for men and women come to life by combining simple, geometric shapes and timeless materials with touches of signature sea glass, and elegant, rose-gold accents.

The classic watch styles are about modern designs with emphasis on function; from harnessing the power of the sun through solar power or connecting us to ports of call on the other side of the globe. The brand’s popular watch collection is about incorporating the best of contemporary innovation and clean design that Skagen is best known for. Skagen celebrates the magic of colour with warm and natural shades such as faded red, light ash, natural tan and light yellow – an assortment of hues that we naturally gravitate to which appear to be desaturated and bleached by the sun. More than a simple designation of time or temperature to depict each of the seasonal collections, Skagen is more about the feeling evoked; it’s about making time to enjoy the moment.

Warm and natural colours combined with practical and stylish designs: what’s not to love? Best of all is the price tag, with jewellery starting from R799

and watches

from R1999. For further information visit www.watchrepublic.co.za.

The second annual Zakifo Musik Festival, Durban

– features one of the most eclectic, multi-genre music line-ups ever gathered together in one festival programme – boasting some of the finest music-makers from France, Reunion, Mozambique, USA, Mali, Ghana, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and South Africa – comes to Durban at the site of the old Natal Command opposite Battery Beach, for two days only, on 27 and 28 May, 2016.

This year Zakifo

has hand-picked a phenomenal array of global music-makers to create a watershed programme for Durban. Following on from the precedent set last year, the focus on strong female artists continues at the festival this year – Zakifo 2016 will be staging some of the most outspoken, innovative, boundary-defying women performers active in the global music industry today, such as: 27-year-old Canadian singer Cold Specks, whose innovative music has been described as doom-soul; Estere Dalton has been compared to the likes of Erykah Badu and is a songwriter and beat-maker, hailing from New Zealand who plays/records a mixture of bass, synth, drums, guitar, vocal harmonies, keyboard, whistles, claps and kazoo; Inna Bocoum, known on stage as Inna Modja, is a genre-shifting Malian singer / rapper and model. Maya Kamaty has been dubbed the new, hypnotic voice of Reunion’s modern Maloya and Sega traditions.

True to Zakifo’s principle of delivering diverse, multi-cultural and intergenerational music of exceptional quality, we’re proud to present Malian rock band Songhoy Blues, whose documentary They Will Have To Kill Us First premiered at last year’s Durban International Film Festival to wide international acclaim and who have been tearing up music festival circuits across Europe and the Americas with their unique blend of traditional Malian desert blues and modern rock sounds. We couldn’t be more excited to unleash their sounds on an unsuspecting Poison City!

The phenomenal programme continues with Kid Francescoli, hailing from Marseilles, France and widely known for their upbeat and interesting pop melodies and diverse, sometimes whacky, influences. All the way from Australia, we bring you internationally-renowned Queensland roots-reggae aficionados, Kingfisha, a top quality band who have built a rock-solid global following delivering world-class dub reggae. Taking it back to the island, Reunion’s Loryzine performs a blend of modern, dynamic and traditional Maloya with an urban rhythm; Sauvage is a Paris-based act producing electronic music largely influenced by Africa and its many diasporas; Too Many Zoos is a brass house trio punk band from New York, famous for their viral internet video of the band rocking Times Square Station, they plan to bring it even harder @ Zakifo in Durban; Ti Rat and Rouge bring you original Reunion Island reggae!

Tickets available at Webticket: www.webtickets.co.za. For more information, and for the detailed programme, visit  www.zakifo.com.

South Africa’s premium luxury boutique, D’ore has officially launched their latest campaign, The Timeless Elegance campaign. It coincided with their grand opening of their highly esteemed Mall of Africa store. Local VIPs, celebrities and media, were amongst the few who had the pleasure of an exclusive performance by South Africa’s very own songbird, Lira. She had even legendary Afro-jazz singer, Judith Sephuma and former model, Sonia Booth on their feet. The thorn amongst the roses, was Top Billing presenter, Janez Vermeiren who also double-up as the event MC.

The evening was also in honour of the unique relationship between mothers and their daughters, and the style inspiration moms often provide. D’ore has launched a special style through the ages campaign which features top South African power women, including Vanessa Gounden, entrepreneur, creative director and owner of D’Ore.

The Mother and Daughter duos featured as part of the first phase of the campaign include , Vanessa and Caelyn Gounden; Chichi Maponya, Chairperson of Brand SA amongst other things and her daughters Naledi and Palesa Mabuse; iconic actress Sophie Ndaba and her daughter Christine; TV Host and award-winning caterer, Vicky Crease, her sister award-winning interior architect and CEO of Life Grand Cafe, Maira Koutsoudakis and their mother; Aspasia Karras and her daughter Alexandra, Sumayya Ebrahim and daughter Qaylah Motara and fashion stylist Anja Bothma and her daughter Gia.

The campaign was shot by acclaimed photographer Merwelene van der Merwe, on location at the Gounden Residence in Pretoria. For more information on the campaign, visit their website at www.dorefashion.co.za.
