Day 2: The Fash Pack’s SAFW report back

We’re super excited to announce that the Sunglass Hut Fash Pack, which consists of Aqeelah Harron and Palesa Mahlaba, is covering SAFW for us! The two lovely ladies have their eyes firmly fixed on the runway, and will be reporting back on all the best moments you need to know about!

Here’s what they have to say about day two of SAFW.

Anmari Honiball

The collection: A graphic take on classic silhouette dresses, with patterns and print formed by a patchwork-like approach to her garment construction.

The colours: A multicoloured palette with a strong use of black and a few unexpected floral accents.

Must-haves: A loosely-slung belt and the patchwork culottes.

The collection: With its perfect balance between tailoring and flow, the collection was a celebration of the female frame. From caped bodysuits to structured coats, it was a minimalistic feast for the eyes.

The colours: A collection of sheer fabrics and leather in whites, nudes and browns.

Must-haves:  The asymmetric bodysuit and a sheer capelet.

The collection: A new take on nautical, which embraces asymmetrical design and loose silhouettes.

The colours: A light and fresh colour palette which echoes the free nature of the overall range.

Must-haves: The multicoloured maxi shirt dress.

Rubicon

The collection: A feminine collection reminiscent of an English garden, complete with florals, pleats and ruffles.  

The colours: A soft palette of creams and pinks.

Must-haves: The sheer, textured blouse with oversized sleeves.

Keys Fashion

The collection: Think party season meets the Grammy Awards, splashed with some risque hemlines, heavy embellishments and extra sparkle.

The colours: A wide variety of colours ranging from apricot to turquoise to fuchsia.

Must-haves: The baby blue sheer shift dress.

Sies!Isabelle

The collection: Simple silhouettes, clever hemlines and light, flowing fabrics that make one think of a desert safari… Knitted detailing and ruffles took the collection to the next level.

The colours:  Following on with the natural theme, the tones were earthy and neutral.

Must-haves:  The asymmetric crocheted vest.
