This new scent is like silk in a bottle!

Today we’re loving Sensai’s debut fragrances.

Luxury Japanese brand, Sensai announces the launch of its first perfume line.

Silk is used in all the Sensai skin products and makeup, so it made sense that the scent range was called The Silk. Khoishimaru silk is the key ingredient in everything the brand does, which meant it was the inspiration behind the scents, too.

The notes represent a silk veil that envelopes a woman’s character.

The top veil consists of bergamot accords, pink pepper, pear and violet leaf. The heart is rich and floral thanks to peony, lily of the valley, Sharry Baby orchid and amber. The base is comprised of the warm notes of Tonka bean and musk. There is an opulent EDP (R2150) version as well as a lighter EDP (R1720) one.

The silk inspiration doesn’t end there, either. The bottles, designed by Gwenael Nicolas, symbolise silk cocoons.

Emmy is the daughter of a sailor, animal loving, coffee addicted, beauty product junkie editor of  Rouge.
