last night (29 October 2015) we held a VIP shopping experience at the Steve Madden store in Cape Town’s Canal Walk Centre, where we and a handful of lucky readers got to check out Steve Madden’s summer lineup of colourful heels, fancy flats and must-have bags.
Readers were greeted at the door by a glass of bubbly and delicious nibbles, and then roamed the store in search of this season’s hottest heels. After much oohing and aahing over the fashion forward range (and eyeing out our favourites), our deputy editor Michelle Brownlee Smith introduced us all to this season’s top shoe trends. After hearing about what trends we should be buying into, we were all invited to taking advantage of Steve Madden’s special VIP 20%-off discount. And boy did we ever!
From fab fringe heels and flatforms to nude pumps and sparkling stilettos, our readers shopped ’til they dropped.
But, we weren’t there just to pick up a new pair of shoes.
Readers were asked to bring along a pair of heels they no longer wear and donate them in-store to the Princess Project. This is a charity with serious heart who makes girls’ dreams around the country come true by giving them a memorable matric dance experience.
We also gave away spot prizes! Three lucky readers won amazing Steve Madden handbags, while two other GLAMOURzon’s were lucky enough to walk away with Steve Madden vouchers worth R1500 each.
At the end of the night readers got to walk away with a special GLAMxSM goodie bag as a little thank you from us.
