Book review: Don’t Let Him Know by Sandip Roy

Evocative imagery, beautiful prose and characters so vivid you feel like you’ve known them all your life, you’ll want to read this novel over and over again. In a small town in the US, Romola Mitra, a young Indian bride, opens a letter that was meant for her husband, Avinash Mitra. Decades later, Romola’s son, Amit, finds the letter and Romola finds herself face to face with the secret she thought had been buried with its owner.

Don’t Let Him Know by Sandip Roy is a   colourful story that weaves together poignant, and sometimes heartrending, anecdotes from the Mitra family’s lives, you won’t want it to end.
