Last Saturday night marked the return of the Global Citizen Festival. The annual event is held in New York City’s Central Park, with the intention of getting people involved in some really extraordinary causes such extreme poverty and inequality around the world.
The festival was streamed live on MSNBC, and received plenty of buzz because of Beyoncé’s highly anticipated performance. The diva certainly delivered with her sexy costumes, impressive dance moves and hit after hit. But there were plenty of other surprises worthy of some recognition!
The highlight of the evening – Beyoncé’s duet with Ed Sheeran! The two musicians sang Beyoncé’s hit song ‘Drunk In Love’ together and truly blew the crowd away.
Beyoncé created great anticipation before the song; “I want to bring out someone I respect so much,” she teased. “Yes, it’s time for Ed Sheeran.”
