A very happy woman’s day to all our GLAM Girls! Nothing beats starting off the week with a public holiday right? And that’s why this week’s Man Candy is the cherry on top of this well deserved day off. Meet Guilhermes Costa.
Guilhermes (Gui) is originally from the the largest country in South America, Brazil. In addition to his native Portuguese, he can also speak English, Spanish and is currently learning Italian. Multi-linguist of note! Gui rates its important to keep a good energy in a social environment, “but its also important to look inward and pay attention to ourselves to know who we really are in relation to everything around us” he says. So trying to define Gui as an introvert or extrovert would prove difficult as he believes in balance in everything he does.
Gui lived in India for 6 months, this is where he realized the importance of achieving balance in all spheres of life. Gym and fitness is one of the areas he applies balance; he runs, jump ropes and does some yoga as well. Gui has done some amazing work for really amazing brands including Toyata, Samsung, Levi’s and Nike but when he’s not busy shooting ad campaigns he’s a regular guy during weekends that likes to let loose the explorer inside him. “I like to walk around and explore everywhere, experience different things, try different foods, see different people and just experience environments outside my comfort zone” he says. Smart, Sexy and adventurous, surely there’s never a dull moment with Gui.
Gui is not only a model he is also a fashion photographer and the director and co-founder of a Canadian model management agency called Active Management in Toronto. Focused Guy! “The agency has been in the market for over a year now and we’re growing fast. This agency is very special to me, I look at it as my opportunity to pass on knowledge and share experiences to a new generation in the industry” he says. When asked where he sees himself in the next 5 years he gave this hilarious response, ” I’ve been living in nearly 20 cities in the past 6 years, so its a bit hard to predict” LOL!
