FYI – Your Monday is about to get a lot more interesting! Meet our tall, dark and unbelievably handsome crush all the way from New York City; Shannon Wallace.
Originally from the United States, Shannon grew up in Long Island and went on to study Sociology at the University of Buffalo located in a major metropolitan area of Buffalo Niagra, which is known for its diverse blend of communities and neighbourly way of life. He’s moved around a bit but has currently been living in New York City for the past 6 years working on his modelling and acting career.
Shannon grew up in a female dominated household which could explain his contagious spirit because you know what they say, “behind a great man is an even greater woman” and for Shannon that woman is his mother. “My mother was a young woman when she had me, I tell people all the time that we’re so close because we grew up together,” he says. His mother has contributed immensely to everything he does and as a result he holds her in such a high regard that its almost tear jerking, any man who respects his mother the way Shannon does is definitely a keeper.
Shannon recently developed a love for being behind the camera (rather than being in front of it) and has been snapping pictures all over New York. Due to wanting to add exotic locations to his already extensive portfolio, he’s looking forward to travelling to South Africa at the end of this month. We’re sure there’ll be volunteers more than willing to show him around our beautiful country, ladies?!
When we asked Shannon what advice he would give for young male models wanting to break into the industry he responded “To enjoy the process, Don’t be afraid to take the stairs, the elevator will get you there quicker but you miss out on the beauty of it. When you look back, it’s always the tougher days, the day to day struggle, the grind and the hustle that’ll you’ll remember most”. Very well said Shannon!
