Just once, we would like to wake up, turn on the news and hear that Monday has been cancelled so that we can go back to sleep! Well… when you meet this week’s Man Candy, you’ll thank the heavens that you woke up. Meet Tyrone Nell; he’s a model, actor and presenter! Phew! Every lady loves herself a hardworking man like Tyrone and his boyish good looks are just the cherry on top!
If you thought that you recognised Tyrone thats cause you’ve probably seen him before because he’s a regular on our TV screens. He’s been in numerous ad campaigns for brands such as Playboy, Nivea and Castle Lite, L’Oreal, Craig Port, David Tlale and GStar to name a few. Tyrone has been modelling for 6 years and has graced the runways of Johannesburg, Cape Town and Africa Fashion Weeks. He’s achieved a lot working as a model but his first love is acting and he’s using modelling as a platform to pursue his acting career. Some of his greatest memories over the last few years include having a small role in the popular KYKnet series, Getroud Met Rugby and having the opportunity to play the lead role in a locally produced short-film based on the Anglo Boer War called The Unbidden.
In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and exploring Cape Town as he just recently moved here from Johannesburg. “We are blessed with an amazing, multi-cultured and vibrant city, and I still have a lot of it to experience. I am also lucky enough to have my family in Cape Town with me,” says Tyrone. Tyrone has 2 younger siblings and he wishes that he can one day inspire them to become self motivated in order to achieve greatness in life. Wise words Tyrone, we definitely wouldn’t mind having a big brother like you!
And that’s not all… Tyrone is also the Senior Digital Strategist at Platinum Seed digital ad agency based in Cape Town. Working as a digital strategist has given him the chance to work on some incredible brands, so much so that he has decided to launch his own brand of underwear in the next couple of months. Theres nothing sexier than a man with hardcore abs and a hardcore work ethic!
