Now trending: Blue hues

Think shades of azure, cobalt blue, teal, sapphire and pigments so rich they conjure up a metallic finish – anything but ordinary! This was the look on the Dior runway and it was nothing less than astounding! These shades look good on almost any skin tone, any hair shade and any eye colour. The look is bold eyes and bare, glowing skin. Dab a nude lippy on to keep the focus on the eyes.

Step1:

Apply Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder(R540) over your entire face to create a luminous complexion.

Step 2:

If you weren’t blessed with a thick lash line, fake it! Using Clarins 3-Dot Liner(R230), dot the pen onto your lash line and then colour in the missing bits to create a perfect defined black line. This gives the effect of fuller lashes.

Step 3:

Blend a teal shadow like Clinique All About Shadow Quad in Galaxy(R425) over your entire eyelid until it reaches just under your brow bone. Extend the shade outwards and create a cat eye that is thick and bold. Drop the shade down to your tear duct to complete. Blend it well after you have your desired shape.

Step 4:

Apply a coat or two of black mascara to your top lashes like Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara(R390). Leave the bottom lashes bare if you wish.

Step 5:

As the attention is on the eyes, keep the lips natural. Apply a nude shade of lipstick like  (R210), to complete this bold trend.

Tip: Draw a dot on your eye where you would like your winged cat eye to extend to, and then fill in the rest with the desired shade to help create the perfect shape.
