Naomi Campbell will star in her own web series I Am Naomi which will offer viewers a “backstage pass” into the supermodel’s life.
The 44-year-old supermodel – who has appeared as a judge on modelling show ‘The Face’ and most recently in the new US drama ‘Empire’ – has been announced as the executive producer and star of I Am Naomi which will air on Yahoo! Screen.The show will offer viewers “a backstage pass” into the life of the raven-haired beauty “as she spends time with the world’s most powerful and influential people”.
Yahoo! Style editor in chief, Joe Zee, told Fashionista: “I think there’s something so unpredictable and spontaneous about her.
“But my favourite part about Naomi is that a lot of people don’t know how hysterical she is, full of bites. You’ve seen her on TV before and she’s always so funny and really engaging.”
The programme – which will be a cross between a talk show and a fly on the wall reality TV series – will feature a host of A-list guests, and Joe is hoping Naomi will spend some time with her superstar pals Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber during filming.
He said: “So many different people from different walks of life love her. She was with Hilary Clinton the other night and she knows Oprah and Justin Bieber is obsessed with her. I thought, ‘Who else can get the cross section of people that Naomi can?'”
The air date for the series is yet to be confirmed.
