In the Disney animated version of “Cinderella,” it was all about the dress and glass slipper. That ice blue custom garment was so different and beautiful that it could be nothing less that the stuff made of legends – or fairy tales.
Last year’s Academy Awards showed a glimpse of what Cinderella might look like in 2014 if she were a fresh face in Hollywood named Lupita Nyong’o. When the wind caught the dress on the red carpet and it began to take full effect, it became one of the biggest fashion moments of the year. Pleated in powder blue, the custom Prada gown couldn’t have been imagined and then executed any better than if it were the illustrated Cinderella gown from the Disney classic.
