GLAM Review: Romance at the Radisson Blu

Can’t make it to the GLAMOUR Valentine in event in Joburg?  We’ve got the ultimate seaside spot for you!

The Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront is welcoming couples this February with the most delectable deal. Kickstart the romance with an indulgent treatment at Amani Spa.

As soon as you step into this luxurious location, your stresses just melt away. Intensify your connection in the Rasul chamber where you layer up in mineral rich mud and enjoy the effects of heat and steam. Afterwards you can let the therapists work their magic on your tense muscles with a 45 minute back and neck massage in the comfort of their ‘couples room’ (R1795 per couple).

Once you’re in the zone, head to the Tobago restaurant where you will be welcomed with a complimentary drink and a set menu (R450 per person) that’ll get your pulse racing. Chef Grant Kennedy has gone all out with the love theme, creating delicious dishes shaped in hearts. We adored the smoked ostrich cupid carpaccio with asparagus tips, pomegranate gems and peppery rocket. For mains, the kingklip got our senses fired up with a lovely spice, while the duck breast and leg confit was sublime. Dessert is a sharing platter of espresso crème brûlée, coconut liquor panna cotta and a succulent strawberry layered surprise. You even get to walk away with a lovely couple’s gift.

Finally, if you just can’t tear yourself away from the beauty of this location, book yourself in for the weekend – they’re offering a 15% discount for Valentine’s weekend!   To avoid disappointment, book now on 021 441 3000 or call Amani Spa on 021 441 3331.
