3 steps to nail art perfection!

There’s nothing boring about this season’s easy and fun nail-art trends. Here are three steps to getting the perfect nails and tips this summer!

Prep your nails

“Push back your cuticles with a clean ice-lolly stick wrapped in cotton wool,” says Bev Kriek, national educator for Nail Systems International, available at Dream Nails. “Then, buff nails gently and dehydrate them with acetone.”

Practise, practise, practise

Nail art is fun, but it takes time to get it right. “Try suing a thin, pointed brush,” suggests Bev. “This will allow you to create fine strokes with a lighter touch, or broader strokes by applying more pressure.” Practice makes perfect!

Make it last

There’s nothing worse than going to all that effort and your nails chip within hours. “Seal polish by painting over the edges of your nails,” adds Bev. “Then use a top coat.” It protects polish, intensifies colour and gives tips shine.
