Welcome to Cape Town’s airport Flybrary!

The concept is simple: browse for a book that you’d like to take along on your journey, and in exchange, leave one that you’ve finished reading. The aptly named Flybrary was created as part of a R4-million project to improve the ambiance of Cape Town International Airport, which includes the introduction of new murals and even a wine cellar – but we’d have to say that this is GLAMOUR Book Club’s favourite of the innovations on offer! There’s a futuristic, circular shelf for those after up-to-the-minute, while lovers of the classics can take their pick from an antique-style shelf. We’re loving watching this amazing concept take off (please excuse the pun) and we hope we start seeing more flybraries around the country and the world – all with some SA fiction finding its place on their shelves!
