Rita Ora has got a new tattoo of a dove on the back of her neck!
The ‘R.I.P.’ singer got the inking of the bird – an international symbol of peace – in New York City yesterday (07.05.13) by tattoo artist Bang Bang. After the work was complete she posted a picture of the design on her Twitter page with the message: “My new baby bird thank you @bangbangnyc (sic)”
Rita also followed in a tradition set up by Bang Bang – who has tattooed stars including Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna – by then taking up the needle herself and leaving her mark on the artist.
Rita copied her own version of the dove design onto the tattooist, a shaky approximation with her name on its wing. Next to a picture comparing the two, she wrote: “His and hers! HA look at the difference … It’s the once in a lifetime Rita Ora tattoo HA! (sic)”
During her trip to America, it has been claimed Rita, 22, has struck up a romance with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
The couple have reportedly enjoyed a string of low-key dates at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood and spent the weekend in Las Vegas, where Calvin was performing at the Grand Hotel’s new club Hakkasan on Saturday night (04.05.13).
A source said: “She was in the DJ booth during his entire performance and the two were seen getting really cosy and kissing. “Another source added: “It’s early days, but they’re keen on each other.”
