As Mercedes-Benz Fashion draws to a close we bring you the latest shows straight from the runways of Joburg.

 

Thula Sindi brought some serious sex appeal to the runway with a black leatherette shirt, figure-hugging LBDs, a jewel encrusted sheer blouse and some 70s-inspired colourful leopard print! Described as “dramatic” by our fashion director. See the full collection here.

 

From exquisite embellishments to practical camo, from the man who just won the MBOISA (Most Beautiful Object In South Africa) for his pebble dress – Gavin Rajah’s show was a true delight. See the full collection here.

 

David Tlale’s show brought serious GLAMOUR with gowns dripping in gold, spangle bellbottoms and items in a combination of tulle and brocade. “That’s why he’s called King David” remarked our fashion director. See the full collection.

 

“Texture nirvana” is how our fashion director described the Suzaan Heyns collection. Capes with sleeves met high-waisted wool bellbottoms in a show which focused alot on detail. See the full collection here.

 

Goth romance was the order of the day for the Avant show, with Baroque-inspired pieces in lace and mesh in what our fashion director described as “fashion week fantasy”. See the full collection.

 

Stefania Morland’s show saw earthy tones, nature-inspired headpieces and gunmetal sequins with neckpieces by Pichulek, described as “a heavenly collection” by our fashion director. See the full collection.

 

Described as a “winning formula” of high necklines and hemlines by our fashion director, the KhosiNkosi show was filled with mulberry tones, peplums and shapes for every form.

 

Sporting clean lines and fluid forms gave Tart’s collection a more minimal approach. Our fashion director simply loved the jumpsuits. See the full collection here.
