Beyoncé is "proud" of her Super Bowl performance

The “Single ladies” singer drew an average of 104 million viewers during her set at Sunday’s half time show, and is pleased with the reaction to her performance.

She told US TV show Extra, “I’m feeling so proud, it was a really beautiful day.

All the hard work, five months of preparation, and it was really great.”

Part of her performance saw Beyoncé reunite with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, for their first live performance since 2006.

She added, “It really was a magnificent night for me and the girls.”

The band also changed their set list for the event at the last minute, replacing 1999 hit “Bills, bills, bills” in favour of 2001 track “Bootylicious” because it better suited the high energy of the rest of their set.

A source said, “They kept rehearsing with “Bills, bills, bills . And the band started saying, “How come they’re not doing “Bootylicious?”

“Bills… turned out to be too slow and wasn’t flowing with the rest of the set.”Bootylicious” was a better way to introduce the girls with their names. It worked so much better.”

While it was seen by a phenomenal number of people, Beyoncé fell short of the record for viewing figures of the half time show set by Madonna last year, which was seen by some 112.5 million people.
