Lindsay Lohan has a new half brother.
The Canyons actress – who appeared in court in Los Angeles on Wednesday (30.01.13) – welcomed a new addition to her family as her estranged father Michael’s girlfriend Kate Major, 29, gave birth to a son.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the couple have called the baby Landon Major Lohan and he was born in a Florida hospital at 11.39 am, just hours after his older half-sister appeared before a judge in relation to her three misdemeanour charges for allegedly lying to police about driving her car during a crash in june.
Lindsay’s father Michael, who has three other children Ali and sons Cody and Michael with the 26-year-old actress’s mother Dina, was reportedly present for the birth and cut the umbilical cord.
Landon, who was previously reported to have been conceived while his mother had a restraining order against Michael, 52, meaning it was illegal for them to spend any time together – weighted in at 19 3/4 inches, 7 lbs. 5 oz.
A spokesperson for the family said they are all doing great.
In November a paternity test revealed that Michael also has another daughter called Ashley Horn, 17, who was said to be devastated to learn that Lindsay wants nothing to do with her. A source said: “While Ashley can’t stand Michael, she thought Lindsay would be kinder to her. She says the Lohans are trash and wants nothing to do with them but the truth is she is really hurt by Lindsay’s attitude.”
