Today we’re loving…

There were squeals from the Beauty Editors when The Body Shop announced that the Kabuki brush (R165) would be making a come back (to be honest, we’ll never know why they ever took it off the market). The funny name comes from a style of Japanese theatre where the actors wear heavy, dramatic makeup – which is strange because these little gems actually deliver the exact opposite.

So why do we love it so much? Because it can be used to apply almost any makeup. It’s a one-stop shop for brushes; blotting powder, blush, powder foundation, bronzer and even liquid foundation. Kabuki brushes have a short stem with quite a strong curve at the end of the bristles, which makes it ideal to hold just enough product to deliver the most incredibly natural finish, without much wastage. It’s also incredibly easy to use, you literally buff the product onto your skin using gently circular stokes and voilá you’re ready to step out the door with flawless skin!

See what we were loving yesterday!
