In his first interview since girlfriend Kirsten Stewart’s affair, Robert Pattinson appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The host offered him some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to help cheer him up, joking that they were “just two gals” chatting about a breakup.
Although Robert avoided any talk of his recent problems he agreed that for young people going through a breakup, it sometimes feels like the end of the world. He answered: “It is” and prompted the audience to respond “Awwwwwww.” After the taping, he graced the red carpet at the Museum of Modern Art for his new movie Cosmopolis. While signing autographs for fans, he told crowds: “Thank you guys for being here.”
The 26-year-old star had been keeping a low profile at Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai, California estate but is back in LA to promote his movie. A source has revealed that Rob is ready to meet up with Kirsten. “He’s incredibly hurt, but he still cares about Kristen and is actually worried about how upset she has been. A reconciliation is not on the cards, but they both know they need to thrash things out,” said the source.
Poor Rob. Breaking up is hard to do – but especially when the world is watching.
