Everyone loves a good smokey eye! Naomi Campbell was spotted at an event recently with a modern twist on the smokey eye and a simple sheen over her lips, which is a look we simply adore.

Want to try this look at home? Just follow the easy steps below:

1. Start by filling-in the waterlines (the bits inside your lashes) of both your top and bottom eye lids with a black kohl pencil.

2.The supermodel chose purple hues to create a modern twist on the classic smokey eye, so we’d recommend you choose a palette with a selection of shades from pale lavender through to bright purple. We love Rimmel’s Glam’Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in Smokey Purple.

Use a bullet brush to create the look. Start by applying the darkest shade right along the top lash line. Then take the slightly lighter shade, and blend it up to the crease of your eye. If you want to up the intensity, add more of the darker shade – otherwise, just take the lightest shade, and blend it onto your brow bones (like you would a highlighter). Then take the middle colour along the outside half of your bottom lashes. This will even-out the effect, and make your eyes look bigger.

3. Finish the eyes with a lengthening mascara like Maybelline Illegal Lengths (R99.95).

4. To create the perfect finish, ensure your skin is flawless! We are currently obsessed with Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra, which comes in 18 fab shades, 10 of which are for ethnic skin tones. Once you’ve got the coverage you want, use a cream concealer to cover any imperfections.

5. Finally, sweep a slick of clear lip gloss over your lips for the perfect sheen!

Jessica Biel was the epitome of Hollywood GLAM at a show in New York last week.

Her makeup was simple, with just a sweep of mascara and a line of kohl along her top tear line. Want to get her look? Follow the easy steps below:

First line your top lashes (along the tear line) with a black kohl pencil. Once you’re happy with the line, finish your eyes with a sweep of mascara.

– Simply sweep a pop of pale pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. To compliment that, add a sheer mid-pink gloss to your lips. Our current favourite is Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant in Guava, (R210) as it delivers the texture of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss.

– Her subtle makeup was offset by gentle, tumbling waves. To get your hair as glossy as this, blow dry freshly washed hair until 40% dry. Then add a heat protection spray, and blow dry smooth using a barrel brush (Denman has a great selection of different sized barrels).

– Once 100% dry, use a curling tong on random and various sections of your hair. Start curling from about half way down the length of your hair, as this look is not about perfection.

When you’re happy with the amount of curls, simply set a light mist of hair spray.

Spotted on the street in New York, we fell in love with Gwen Stefani’s entire look the moment we laid eyes on her! Head-to-toe leapard print requires a high maintenance makeup look, so thanks to Gwen Stefani’s flawless finish, she managed to pull off this look with sheer excellence!

This look is obviously all about the lips, but a few subtle touches take it to a whole new level of GLAM. Follow the steps below to recreate it:

1. Apply foundation and concealer then brush your brows into place, and fill if necessary.

2. Sweep a medium bronze over your whole lid, up to the crease. Then using a slanted eye shadow brush, sweep a thin line of the same shadow under your bottom lash line.

4. Curl your lashes, and then apply a thin line of black liquid liner over the bronze eye shadow, winging it slightly at the outer edges.

5. A pop of pale pink blush is all that’s needed before you start on those lips.

6. Red lips this perfect take a bit of work. Start by applying a light layer of your normal foundation to your lips and let it dry. Then dust them with a fine coating of pressed powder before using a lip liner to colour-in your whole lip, both the top and bottom. Make sure the liner is the same colour as your lipstick. This three step process will create a base for the lipstick to grab onto and will make it last much longer!

7. For such a pristine finish, you have to apply your lipstick with a brush. Dab from the sides of your lipstick bullet, and apply to the centre of your lips, working outwards. This will prevent you from applying too much.
Not sure what colour to use? Try Revlon’s fire engine red Super Lustrous Lipstick in No.19 (R99.95)

8. Finally blot your lips with a tissue, and apply a second layer of lipstick. This will make the colour even, as well as make it last longer too.

9. Run a straightener through your hair if you want sleek locks like Gwen Stefani’s – and voila, you’re ready to rock out in as much leopard print as you like (okay, in moderation)!
