1.Switch it up! You may love your lipstick, but it might not be doing you any favours. That matte-effect lippy you loved so much in summer is low on moisture, so shelve it for now and opt for a tinted balm instead. You can wear a similar colour with hydrating benefits. Products that contain petroleum, shea butter or hyaluronic acid are particularly good at restoring the moisture balance. 2. Exfoliate. Code red: You've got a hot date but your lips are flaking! Keep things smooth with a little DIY exfoliation. Mix a dab of petroleum jelly and a pinch of sugar to create a buffing balm. Gently rub it on your lips, wipe off and you can literally kiss flaky lips goodbye.
3. Hydrate hourly. Keep cracks at bay by applying a specialised lip treatment that will inject moisture, heal cracks and soothe stinging. Just remember: Don't pick! You'll just leave your lips raw and irritated. Ouch!
