We chatted to Gucci Westman, Revlon international makeup artist and BFF to Cameron Diaz, to get the scoop the the next big things in the beauty world! Scroll through to see what she had to say.
What trends are you loving at the moment? 'I'm obsessed with all the fairytale romance movies that are coming out this year. From Spiderman to Snow White, I adore the makeup look of the leading ladies: it's so sexy, and it's a world away from that bronzed babe style we've been seeing for years. If you want to get the look, apply a smoothing primer to your face and opt for either dark eyes or lips.'
What looks are you noticing in the streets of NYC? 'Tomato red lips are everywhere! I keep seeing fashionable young women with messy hair, a slick of eyeliner and bright lips. I love this trend - it's so modern and cool to have a smear of lipstick that looks like an after-thought rather than anything too polished'
What do you think of coloured mascaras? 'If you wear them right, I think they look fab. Often you need a coat of black underneath to make the eyes pop and then add your chosen colour. I also love bright liner if you're the kind of girl who looks great with a sweep of black liquid liner, try it in dark purple or navy next time you go out, it's so chic.'
We love brights but we're afraid of looking OTT. Help! 'When it comes to makeup, the rules have gone out the window so don't panic. Avoid wearing too much foundation, powder or lipliner, but other than that, just have fun. Bright eyes, nails and lips are fabulous - these days anything goes.'
