Jared proposed to aspiring model Martha Patterson on April 11 at his home in Nashville, with a four-carat cushion-cut diamond, set on a diamond band, which he designed himself, after just a few months of dating.
His representative told JustJared.com: “Yes, it’s true! Jared proposed to Martha on April 11 at his home in Nashville and we’re all excited for the newly engaged couple.”
Jared wrote on his twitter page: ”It’s true! I’m engaged! CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity (sic).”
The couple plan to divide their time between their homes in Nashville and Los Angeles.
Martha raised speculation that her rocker beau had proposed last month when she tweeted, ”What a beautiful, wonderfully perfect day,” and was spotted wearing the ring as they partied at Coachella music festival.
Jared previously dated ‘The Twilight Saga’ actress Ashley Greene but has been smitten with Martha since they met. Recently he posted a picture of him kissing the model on twitter and captioned it, ”Photobooth love”.
Jared’s brother and bandmate Caleb is married to model Lily Aldridge and the couple are expecting their first child this year.
