Hollywood weddings are usually surrounded by an unusual amount of controversy, lots of designer garb and an insistence on having the nuptials broadcast to anyone who cares. But actress Natalie Portman did things differently when she recenty got married to choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Her ring designer Jamie Wolf confirmed that the former child star and Benjamin, who met on the set of Black Swan in 2009, have tied the knot after speculation increased when they were spotted wearing rings at the Academy Awards on Sunday.
Jamie, a dancer friend of Benjamin’s, has spoken up saying, “I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman. We wanted everything about the ring to speak to things that are important to Natalie.”
Details about when the couple tied the knot are yet to have be revealed. The pair got engaged in December 2010, before welcoming a son, whom they named, Aleph, last June.
Maybe a wedding that takes place in secret could become a trend? Either way, let’s hope that it lasts longer than 72 days, which seems to have become the Hollywood standard!
