MAC makes a Marilyn inspired collection

February 23, 2012

M·A·C Cosmetics are paying tribute to Marilyn Monroe with an exciting, new makeup collection.

The look of the iconic beauty – who was recently portrayed by Michelle Williams in our GLAMOUR must-see movie My Week with Marilyn – will be represented by a limited edition range including 30 custom-designed. Among the pieces will by various eye shadow shades, lipsticks, nail polishes and eyeliners, and the range will be launched across the world in October.

M·A·C is well known for their collaborative pieces, with Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga previously working with them. ‘Super Bass’ singer Nicki unveiled a M·A·C Viva Glam lipstick in support of AIDS prevention and awareness last week, and she admitted she was delighted to be able to work with the brand.

She said, “When I was chosen by M·A·C Cosmetics to be the next Viva Glam spokesperson, I wanted to hug everyone at M·A·C for giving me this opportunity. I’ve always wanted to be a Viva Glam girl.
“What’s important about Viva Glam to me is that every cent goes to the M·A·C Aids Fund. It’s bringing awareness to my culture. That’s why I’m really, really excited about this campaign.”

We can’t wait to see what M·A·C has in store for us with the Marilyn Monroe range – and hopefully it’ll reach our shores!
