Q: I hear that red is major this season, but how do I wear something so bold?

Red represents passion, power and sexuality, so it’s certainly not quiet! But that’s not to say it can’t look classy as well as dramatic. And as these celebs demonstrate, it’s a hue that attracts attention. Designer Michael Kors says, “Red will work with any neutral in your wardrobe”. Women with porcelain skin and blonde hair like Renée Zellweger should wear striking shades like tomato, whereas deep dramatic hues like burgundy or plum look superb on darker skinned women like Eva Mendes, Alek Wek and Beyoncé. Whether your red choice is a crop-top or a full-length dress, make sure you invest the best quality fabric you can afford. DON’T mix skimpy and scarlet unless you want to look more red light district than lady in red. Afraid of overdoing it? Just choose heels or a bag for a sexy touch.
